Tsamai was created to organise something millions of people across Africa already do every day: city-to-city shared travel.
Across the continent, people move between cities using shared vehicles — whether through informal seat-sharing, lifts with friends of friends, or long-distance shared routes. It works, but it often comes with uncertainty:
